ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — A 13-year-old was hit and killed by a motorcycle while crossing the street in St. Petersburg early Sunday morning, according to the police.
The motorcycle was going southbound on 28th Street North around 12:35 a.m. when it hit the boy near 110th Avenue North, St. Petersburg police said in a statement.
Police said the motorcycle driver was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
28th Street will remain closed between 102nd Avenue North to 118th Avenue
North for several hours for the investigation.
No other details are available at this time.
